Wow, so many memories.

One of my favorites was an average weekend scrim. We had a team visiting that was just starting out. Mostly the 18-19 year old mark. Anyways we gave them some of our grenades to use, as a show if good faith. The problem is the grenade fuse last like 8 seconds.

So one of the visitors was trying to grenade one of our members on the second story of this building, by heaving the the grenades through this large double loading door on the outside second story of the building. Problem is, the fuse was so long, our guy kept escaping the blast radius.

So our commander walks over to this guy and tells him he has to cook the grenade s bit before tossing it. He takes a grenade from this kid, lights it, cooks it, then throws it through the loading doors. Just as our guy peers out to see what's going on.

The grenade bounces of his nose, and BANG! Goes off right in his face. Buddy was stunned for the next couple hours. Could barely stand.


One of the best stories I've heard, happened at one of the Keystone events. A few guys had snuck up on a sniper nest, or guard tower kind of thing. It was dark out, and they could hear a few guys chatting up top. They decide to lob a grenade up there to deal with them. The grenade hits it's mark, and goes off. Nothing but silence. Buddies pissed, because he knows he got them, so he throws another one. When the grenade goes off, the guys up top cry "hit,hit, were hit!", and come down.

What had happened was the first grenade landed in a pot of ravioli the guards were cooking, except they didn't notice. When the grenade went off it scared the shit outta them, and covered them all with boiling sauce. So they all just sat there staring blankly at each other trying to figure out what the fuck happened, until the second grenade hit.
