Did you charge the battery? Because they don't sell it to you with a charge on it
Furthermore, the wires WILL get hot as you shoot. Reason being the stock wires are crap, so the added resistance causes them to build heat quickly.
But if they're getting hot without cycling the gun, you likely have a short in the wiring or a defective motor. That would cause your battery to drain extremely quickly and heat up the wires.
