I'll let you in on a secret, I asked DonP, he had made a few heavier duty triggermasters for ridiculous high speed setups, so I've got one of those in my 249 instead of the regular TM MKIII that kept overheating. Running an 11.1v LiPo on a neo magnet motor, you REALLY need the extra wattage of a beefier MOSFET.

I found the trick to getting high ROF, is to start with a reliable 900rpm base, then just bring it up to speed. What's so nice about the TM's is you can adjust the motor speed, so you can get it to max speed before it starts having problems.

It's also worth mentioning I have triple torque gears in my 249, not standard or high speed ratio. The downside being that because the prometheus gears are so HEAVY and spinning so fast, without active braking or a neo-magnet motor to slow them down, you've got 6-10 shots of overrun when you let go of the trigger! It's also pretty hard on the motor to stop that much momentum, so I'm usually running it at 1100rpm. Definitely need lighter gears for reliable high speed setups. Next time someone asks me to do a high speed build, I think I'll swiss cheese a set of high speed prometheus gears and see how that goes.
