I have found a canadian retailer selling at a ridiculous price of over $500 for a SRC MP40

While eHobbyAsia.com has the same SRC MP40 for half the price however, they no longer have any in stock!

Anyone think it's worth paying over 500$ for it?

500$ is a fair canadian price for a SRC (ordering from overseas results in seizure and being on the CBSA blacklist - even with the proper documentation and the gun modified to fire above 430fps, it is still hit or miss especially when dealing with ehobbyasia). The SRC one comes with high-cap only; however, agm low caps can be modified to feed into the SRC magwell (you have to invert the AGM mag internals inside the mag shell).
A cheaper (350-400$ in canada) non-blowback MP40 made by AGM is also available. The AGM one can uses the king-arms mid-cap and they are very reliable (mine went through 16000 BB without any modifications and it is still firing well).
