It's a pretty straightforward issue really...and not really an "issue" at all.
Fill up a mag until it's full. Then press down on the BBs with your fingertip...pretty stiff right? That's the force that you're overcoming by ramming the mag into the gun...those BBs are pressing against the nozzle as the mag is being seated.
If your bolt is locked back...there's no nozzle for the stack of BBs to press against = full, easy seating of the mag. Then when the nozzle comes forward...it'll strip off the first BB and chamber it like it's supposed to.
If you're smashing the full mag in while the nozzle is forward...then you're essentially smashing the side of your nozzle, which can't be good for anything. You'll end up with a stressed nozzle, deformed BBs, etc...
Either lock your bolt back...or short load your mag 1-2 BBs so there's some give in the stack.
