I saw that...dude, it looked cool. I say let it go that dark black colour eventually and if someone says, "hey, you've got a spot there"...reply with "I know...it's my blood from an OP".
If it bugs you...just use a tooth brush with a bit of soap and water for the spot...or if there's a lot of other crud on the rig/pouches I just tossed it into the washer with a little bit of regular clothes detergent and then hung it up to dry.
