It happened to my VFC M4 SOPMOD also, it seem like VFC tend to be over tighten their screw. After one hour of patience by using electric drill, I finally got the pistol grip out and got an extra screw from my desltop to replace. Hope it help. Most of the time, I manage to replace strip screw by rotary tool or drill.
