Dehumidifier in the gun room?
Either that or some sort of rust protector on parts that do rust maybe? Something from Rusto (American Accents) or Krylon Rust prevention.
NOTE: DO NOT EVER USE WD-40 ON YOUR GUNS!! Although it does prevent rust (by displacing water) it also corrodes plastic.
