Definitely need boots. As for everything else, if you want to get into airsoft and play more seriously, a molle vest would probably be best. You might want to change guns after awhile, and the gun might have a different style of mag, and then you buy new pouches instead of a new vest. Good eye protection. Only use approved goggles, and NEVER use ski goggles. After that just research what sort of look you want to go for, or what gear works best in your area.
