AEG Issues. KWA G36c, TM Famas F1
I've got two AEG issues I wanted some advice with. I'll list them both here instead of creating a new thread. It might get a little long.
First is my KWA G36c. The previous owner had it wired to deans, and ran it with a LiPo battery. When he sold it to me he added a deans to tamiya mini connector as I opted to get it with an 8.4v 1100mAh NiMH battery (being a newbie i was scared away from the complexity of a LiPo).
When the battery is fully charged, I dont have any problems with the gun. Sometimes the gun starts to feel sluggish, in terms of trigger response I guess. I'm not familiar with how the mechbox works, but whatever is moving in there seems to move slower. I then reach a point where I do a quick trigger press and the gun seems to stop halfway in what its doing. After that it doesnt fire. I pull the trigger and I dont feel any movement inside the mechbox. However if I reconnect the battery or even set the gun side and pick it up again it resumes firing normally.
Could this be a battery issue? Or would it be something with the internals? I tried researching and came across a post that says the mini connector sometimes doesnt provide enough juice for certain mechboxes. I dont know if thats the issue here. I do plan on buying a LiPo (at TAC) and using the deans connection to see if the problem goes away. But if you guys think its something else I'd appreciate any help!
Second is about a TM Famas F1. This is one of the old old models, doesnt have a hopup dial at all. I believe it was added into the later F1 and subsequent SV models.
Uses the original 8.4v 1300mAh NiCad battery. Gun shoots perfectly fine on semi and auto, however it randomly stops firing. Once you press the little spring-decompress button (located behind the selector switch on the bottom of the stock), it fires normally.
This needs to be done regularly. It fires on full auto and empties an entire mag without problems. But sometimes when you pause between shots (or when you reload), it stops working and only resumes after the decompress button is pressed. I read that the decompress button was only used when storing the AEG. So could this be caused by a bad spring? I dont know if V1 mechboxes are easy or hard to fix, but again any help is appreciated!
Sorry for the long post!
