Never assume anything when painting your rifle. There is usually a ton of prep work before even painting. I would recommend hanging the rifle you wish to paint so you can get 360 paint coverage and air for drying at the same time.

I've painted my guns myself. Except you were asking how those guys up top painted their gbbrs. I misread your post the first time and thought that you were painting an AEG. I'd disassemble most of the internals first before painting for GBBRs just because there are alot of moving parts that are more exposed than an AEG.
