Big radios?

hey guys

So I've been running around with motorola talkabouts since I got them as a christmas present in like 2002, I like them they are small and easy to use but I see alot in the gear threads or the second line thread alot of people seem to have these huge radios that actually fit in a large radio pouch, they have the big long antenna (like you could fold it into your molle) and actually look like military radios. but they have to be able to use normal civilian channels so I can communicate with other players who also use random radios (moterola's and stuff) I believe thats called GMRS channels?

I want one.

so where do you guys get these things? like they fit in those MBITR pouches and have big antenna's like the MBITR radio but no way they are actually that radio. I know alot of people buy those shells (I have one I turn on my moterola and just drop it inside) but I see alot of actual large radios that look military that aren't Spartan, MBITR radios.

I'm looking for one to fit in a MBITR/PRC148 pouch and has a big antenna, also if they have normal (civilian?) mic plugs like motorola or the other one is Kenwood? if I gotta get a headset with a special kind of plug, I Dunno educate me on these things please I don't know where to google this kind of thing I don't want one with a propieritary (or however you spell it lol) plug design, I know there is another plug design out there that is common that I think is what the military uses and the other two mentioned above are for civilian use?

so to sum it up.

where's a big military looking radio that I can get?

it's gotta be able to use normal civilian channels so I can talk to others who just went and bought a civie radio like a talkabout.

longer antenna setup? like one I can weave into molle?

headset? a good design like bowman, is the radio plugged for motorola, kenwood or the other design?

please help I know very little about radio's I'm usually the guy trying to shout in a whisper voice to get a teamates attention or waving his arms frantically then pointing somewhere trying to show you where the enemy is.
