I have played many times with my M16. I will 100% agree there is no point and shoot guns even after upgrades, maybe if it is 700+ fps. Wind = devil. As for length, I did not mind my M16, it was the full length version. One meter long from tip to butt. I did like its support capability, if I hide well and a group of the other team gets too close, they have little chance of survival.
But a tightbore barrel and upgraded hopup rubber are the good ?
If I buy a AK new from a box, what other internal upgrades should I get to improve my guns durability/combat reliability/performance? A full metal AK from Classic army is only 345 with battery, strap, and charger. Is it safe to assume that after $200-300 of upgrades the AK could easily out preform a $900 Classic army RPK-7,and that does not include extras just a gun and 2 mags.
