Ibought and received one of these too. pretty solidly built although the cheeck rest is made from pretty crappy foam. No mods necessary to my ksc g18c but you can't access the fire selector once it's in, so it's always on auto or always on semi. You can use a small allen key to change it but that's not the best thing to do during a fire fight.
