It could be that your motor height is set too high. try turning it down a bit. Also before you closed everything up, did you double check that the gears where spinning freely and that there is no binding? Some tips on building your own MB. Also I find the best way to check your motor height is to remove the piston from the MB, close it all up and mount the pistol grip and motor. When you pull the trigger, you can listen to the sound it makes while adjusting the motor height. Once it sounds smooth and quiet, that's the sweet spot. Good luck.
