Update:

I am still having a lot of problems with my TM Sig 226.

I have the pistol disassembled on my desk right now, but am having some trouble still.

I am having trouble removing the takedown lever.

I have been following this guide:

It says:

"To remove it the lever must be in the "up" position that it lives in when the gun is in it's normal carry position. Look for the detente. Push it towards the rear of the pistol and the takedown lever will slide out of the pistol to the left."

It doesn't seem to want to move at all...what am I doing wrong?

The problem/s seem to be in the hammer group area. Do I need to remove the trigger assembly group/area before I am able to re-assemble/put back the hammer group?
