The trick to quickly sighting in a gun. Set the hop so that the BB travels a straight path, then over hop a LITTLE. so that it curves up and then comes back down. It's a fine line.
Then adjust your sights to where the BB is shooting.

I underhop from the straightest line possible, makes sure every BB falls correctly and I can compensate for elevation if needed. Nothing worse than to try aiming with a slight overhop because air conditions got denser and having to aim lower. Go for straightest and farthest, then nick it down a notch for best shooting in all conditions.
