I shove a couple fingers through the shell of so I can hold the cylinder and spring in and then gently lay the top half of the shell down. Some days it all clicks together no problems, and other days you wrestle it for a while.
It can also help to work the trigger spring all the way down with a small pick, and make sure the AR latch is engaged to help it stay in place.
If it's a real headache you can leave out the spring guide and spring and just get a feel for to snap the two halves of the box together.
