If you notice that the original implementation of the Canadian Firearms Act was different criteria than how it's being implemented now. Under the definitions of the act, how is an AR-15 a restricted rifle? ITAR also bans the sale of Plasma Weapons; every country has crazy laws.
The G11 was banned because, well, there's stories there, and unfortunately, Edmonton played a very poor representation for logic and sense in that whole fiasco for every variation of the stories.

Have you ever seen any firing of the Magpul FMP9? Don't quote Ares FMG, PP-90 (or the Goblin), or the UC-M21 which have all been Youtubed as firing an Magpul FMP9.

It's based on a concept weapon, not a prototype weapon. I'm aware of the development cycle of this weapon. However, especially for Magpul, everything is vapourware until it hits the streets, I have drank the coolaid, but I'm still a realist.
