Rechargable batteries in my experience work best with LED weapon lights. However, please be carefull buying batteries from China as they tend to have a higher voltage than they indicate, which will ruin the light/bulb.
As for weapon lights, I recommend Surefire hand-held series such as 6P, GZ, or G2 Nitrolon. You can get one now for just above 100 dollars canadian.
