I'm giving up on fixing the outer barrel wobble. If the slide starts to lock up on a wobbly barrel, I'll DIY-fix it then. Thanks for the pointers though.
Instead of hunting for tape, or studying for finals, I just installed a bunch of aftermarket internals throughout the afternoon and evening... bad idea, it took way longer than I thought it should have, and I fear finding/installing a itsy bitsy piece of aluminum tape is going to be equally as time-consuming.
