Do be aware that many of the PTWs that are sold began life as a kit. It is not uncommon for an unexperienced person to try to save some money by buying a kit. While the kits themselves are fairly straight forward, the tolerances of the gun are exacting. Little errors can make big problems that can cost a lot of cash to overcome. That's not to say all the guns for sale are broken kits, but it can put a scare on a player when a simple mistake can cost you $250 to replace a board or a cylinder.
Internally, there is no better electric BB projecting system on the planet than a well kept PTW, but they are precision machines and can require precision handling which isn't always as common as the number of guns out there. The price/performance ratio is certainly not for everybody, but its fun while one can justify the cost
