he mentioned he removed the set screw.
I believe he is having difficulty removing the flashhider after the set screw has been loosened/removed. It's probably glued on.

did a quick google of the plastic ICS m4 guns, seems they are split mechbox like the metal versions. Which means if you break your upper receiver tabs, the two mechbox halves may not mate properly.
