KWA, due to very different business principles.

KWA does a good bit of internal innovation and few external variations. Their outlook is centered on ballistic performance. KWA wants to get your money by selling you impressive figures and numbers. I've been fairly impressed with the most recent KWA AR AEG I've seen (I'd hold out and see if KWA comes out with even better models).

CA does a lot of external variations, but has been relatively inactive on the internal innovations front. CA's also been somewhat distracted with its downward race against the Chinese clones in the last few years. CA wants your money by selling you what you can increasingly better afford. I've never been that impressed with the CA AR AEGs I've seen.

I love my CA M16 SPR, it's stock, shoots great and I love the length. Never had a problem with it. (battery's on the other hand I do have trouble with)

Way back I had a CA 33E that was the best gun evar...sold it dirt cheap too.

The only KWA I have is a gas item, but I find they are very easy to communicate with. The setup they have in the USA means you get a quick email reply to questions or spare parts requests. They're also aware of the hurdles anything sent across the border will have to make.

KWA if stock

CA if you want to upgrade. KWA is incompatible in some parts.

I also lean towards CA for its rock-solid externals. As for internals, you start with one of the strongest reinforced V2 mechbox shells I've seen to date and good, solid gears. The only items that are questionable would be the piston and piston head, both of which are cheap to replace.

I've got 50k+ rounds out of my CA M15 rifle so far. The only internals that have been swapped are the piston head / cylinder head (Systema silent), a Modify bearing spring guide, and Prometheus MS110SP spring. I finally swapped the hopup unit this past summer due to the stock one being loose and not holding its setting. The rest of the internals are all original and still going strong.

KWA are good guns too, but I have a hard time getting over those ugly-ass KWA trademarks on it. Trades are usually not a concern to me, but I want them either to be authentic, or have none at all. KWA's really bug me.

I second that comment.
I have several purchases on the go for various items (parts, kit, etc) and most of the people/companies that I have had dealing with were/are amazingly prompt and professional regardless as to them being foreign or not. But when I deal with KWA USA it is a nice change in the aspect of them having a CS department that speaks the local language, so there are no accidental misunderstanding because of the language barrier.
They are very knowledgeable on the intricacies of our import issues with various parts, and I don't have to break the bank calling them if there are issues, because out of the three times I have dealt with them, there have never been and any issues, and if there are any problems (with out of stock items, etc...) they have called me.

They are simply good at what they do.

But not to exclude my shared opinion on the following,

Do you feel the same about the PTW trades?? ........It's all personal preference.
