Not sure how this works, but there...

That has to be the cheapest slide I saw in a while

RacingManiac January 11th, 2010 21:53

Anyone has a TM 5-7? Care to enlighten us how it is made inside?

KoolAidMan January 11th, 2010 21:54

that doesn't even look like a slide?????????

Skladfin January 11th, 2010 21:58

oh thats not a slide guys.

That's actually the second shock reinforcement that goes inside the slide as a buffer.

The original TM is plastic, I don't find anything wrong with it.

Thenooblord January 11th, 2010 22:16

this probably adds some weight so make it kick more, and its stronger.. just cause, well can never be too strong
and like Skladfin said, its the inner frame of the slide, not the slide itself, the 5-7 is built similar to the desert eagle in that respect

Crunchmeister January 12th, 2010 08:57

Yeah, this the inner insert to the slide. The real 5-7 is completely polymer on the outside with an inner, reinforced metal 'cage' inside the slide. The one on the TM is made of plastic. This would essentially make the slide like on the real steel.

SRC will have their 5-7 out very soon, hoping to have Canadian version within the year :)

Looking at some TW site(Arms-Cool), looks like some one will be out with after market plastic shells as well....(I am guessing Guarder)
