Which Scar to get???

So I really wanna get a WE Scar gbbr. Now from what I understand there are two versions, a c02 version and a green gas (propane) version. IS ther one that is clearly better than the other? I thought that this gbbr could handle both. A buddy of mine claims that the propain version is the way to go because the rear plate on the c02 version is prone to breakage. Can any owners verify or refute this?

the CO2 version is better, just use green gas mags, the C02 version has a few toughened parts

The difference between the CO2 and propane version is in the gas system. Otherwise the two versions are identical. CO2 version is fully backwards with propane, propane version has difficulties with CO2. Technically all newer versions are CO2 versions, not really much point in building both propane and CO2 versions.

Rear plate are suppose to be all reinforced with steel on the newer version, according online chatter.

Technically, the Cansoft Version of the WE Scar, should also have the latest in internal and reinforced prts, because they are more recent!

Naturally, the CO2 version gives you more versatility.
What's the difference between the two types of mag, the fill valve?
Could CO2 mags be filled with propane?

dude it is available check review section.

Personally I would wait for the VFC SCAR GBBR seems to fix all the problem including efficicency with the magna design. (due date is mid-late november...aka christmas present)

When I bought my WE Scar I got it with one propane mag and one Co2 mag. You can just switch from Co2 to propane by just swapping mags. The Co2 mags use Co2 bulbs. If you are planning to use Co2 I would get the latest version or the upgraded stock plate or it will crack.

So my question is now how do I know which version has the reinforced back plate? The version I was looking at is the version 3.

If my information is correct, all of the Ver3 models have the reinforced back plate.
