L96 or JG G36

Hey guys I was wondering if i should get either a Well L96 or a JG G36.

Noobs shouldn't get a bolt action for various reasons. Such as the fact that you will find it boring after a while in your first game since you would be missing on alot of action. Airsoft bolt actions aren't like real steel or movie style "sniper" rifles without about $1000 of upgrades *cue Amos to parade around his VSR-10 :P * in order to outrange AEGs and have an advantage over them, and also the fact that pretty much all fields don't allow noobs to use high velocity bolt actions. There are allot of safety concerns when it comes to bolt actions and this is generally reserved for people who have developed a reputation within their community and the people feel comfortable with you wielding a 500 FPS bolt action.

Depending on where you live you may take a "Sniper Clinic" which has been birthed by ShaDo in southern Ontario and runs it whenever the demand reaches high enough. It can teach allot about the role of a sniper, and test your abilities to safely judge distances. If you do pass it you would then have your Bolt Action Operator certificate (Level 2 500FPS, Level 3 550 FPS [correct me if Im wrong]) but this is not a golden ticket to let you use a high powered bolt action as in the end this is up to the field owner/host of the game.

Buy an AEG first, play with that; gain experience and develop a reputation. THEN you can think about getting a bolt action.

First of all, to get the JG you have to get Av'd (DONT ASK ME HOW).
I am assuming you are new to airsoft and have not gammed before, so I caustion getting the sniper.

Vetreans frown upon new players using snipers when they are not used to airsoft. Its better to get an AEG, and just fiddle around (if thats the right word) with it, and see how your airsofting expericence goes.

In short G36C would be a better choice, but again you have to be AV'd and get it from the classifieds

Go with the G36

G36

G36 hands down.

FOX_111 August 31st, 2009 21:37

Echo: G36.

Forget about sniping completely for at least 1 year (2 summer time of play).
In order to be effective as a sniper, you need to have an intimate knowlege of the game dynamic as an infentrymen first.

Dude, your profile says your in grade 9 which would make you 14. You shouldn't even have airsoft guns. Where do you play?

so you guys run around in some forest somewhere playing army right? seeing as how you're kids and won't be able to play on real fields for another four years. don't know what you're thinkiing at the moment, but playing 5v5 with your friends is totally different than playing a real organised airsoft match.

you getting buttsecks in the first five minutes would be an example...

RaisinBran September 1st, 2009 23:31

If he is 14, then 2 years with a parent :D in some fields though.

Wilson September 1st, 2009 23:35

AEG for six or seven years, then switch to the bolt action to change things up. It's what I did.
