To those who feel the need to constantly Flame

Consider this your final warning, further abuse will result in your accounts and IP addresses being banned.

We have asked and asked and asked for people to cut back and stop the constant flaming and they continue, even after temp bans.

Well enough is enough, I just spent 25 mins tracing alternate accounts created today to go on a flame fest. I've perm banned both original and alt accounts where I was able to trace them.

Going forward I will have a zero tollerance rule in effect for the remainder of you, I have better things to do with my time. And I'm sure there is several other admins and our mods out there who agree.

So feel free to keep up the flaming if you wish to make your visit here short.

Thank you!!! Nothing more than I hate is looking at a thread and having to scroll threw pages of flames.

Glad this is finally coming into play.

Hey, Kip, is there any reason why we can't have a banned users thread open to the public? Often, the good folks here might save you guys some effort in pointing out guys who are onto the multiple accounts thing. It would also serve as a reminder to others.

Like the old crow's cages for convicted criminals, public executions, that sort of thing.

Thank you! It was really starting to look like one huge flaming forum. Well, great to hear that the people who constantly flame and won't stop will be delt with properly.

McGuyver: I like where your head's at. That measure has worked well on other forums I've frequented in the past.

Use the report a post function, we'll go from there.

Ban 'em...and let them pass into Internet obscurity. They'll be banned for bad conduct, why give them any more attention?

There's no thread that permanently ID's "good guys"...why expend a second of effort highlighting someone not wanted here?

(obviously different from "immortalizing" guys that scam/rip-off/whatever others...we're just talking about retards that get their e-jollies off on flaming others)

Just my $0.02...feel free to delete this post.

why do people have the need to flame others? we are all part of a community that honestly should stick together. I can see those that are the flamers the dicks in game that dont call their hits or cheat of shit like that. bastards. you're not going to count this as flaming the flamers will you?

MillerBRo July 4th, 2009 12:53

thanks - seriously. :)

Locally most of us have stopped coming to ASC because of all the friken trolls who are regular posters and seem to actually live online on ASC. The constant snide remarks and hateful posts to new players means that we only refer them to ASK or HCS forums as of now. ASC has become a place where we have found that actual experience with the airsoft products gets 'over ruled' by armchair airsoft snobs who shit on everything posted that they dont personally agree with. If you can get rid of even half of them I am certain that ASC can make a comeback and actually be a resource that the rest of the airsoft community recognizes with some pride.

As much as I agree people whos sole existence here is to flame and be an ass should be dealt with, but asking for no flaming on the internet is like asking water not to be wet. This just seems to be a form of pussification as we have been seeing alot in the world, just not to the extent of most instances. So someone flames someone else, but they are also a productive member of the forum and an avid airsofter, is this reason to ban someone? pusangani was banned for flamming which I think is being a little over-zealous but thats neither here nor there. I just think that something as objective as the subject matter here with results as mentioned (perma-bans, etc...) might be a bit much.

This all is just my opinion, not pontificating myself here or anything, just stating my $0.02
