Standard JG M4 external conversion to S-system

2 Attachment(s)
Alright now this might be a dumb question but I thoroughly checked the internet and I couldn't find anything that tells me if it's possible to modify a standard JG M4 to a JG M4 S-system. Now I just want to externally upgrade it. Common sense tells me it's possible to just obtain the RIS and the outer barrel and all should be well, but a lot of you guys have wayy more experience with modding (especially the easy stuff like externals) so before i empty my pockets on this simple mod i would love some feedback and of course tell me if it's at all possible

below are just some pictures to show you what i mean just for the heck of it

thanks ahead of time!

You could just get a CASV or similar rail which attaches to the receiver, and you'd be done.

Yeah, but would my standard delta ring be compatible with the CASV or am I looking at buying a new one of those as well? Plus the S-system flip sites really grabbed my attention as to the kind of red dot I'm looking to put onto it. As well im worried about the space for my 9.6v battery that can be a little bit of a bulky fit.

Regular delta ring would work with a CASV. For the sights, you can just buy a front flip up and replace it.
A CASV likely won't fit a battery so you'll have to put it somewhere else.

So is the S-system a bad idea then? or just impractical?

Not a bad idea or impractical. You could add a PEQ box for a battery, or a fullstock.

It will work. As long as you don't get the SIR of an already built S-System by a manufacturer, your fine. Not sure if it will hold an 9.6 v though.

Alright sounds good

Thanks a lot guys for your input :)
