Need help on Kraken Upgrade

Hi guys, I will soon have my Kraken Ak47 AEG. I already began to look for upgrade on the web. So I considered to upgrade the Inner Barrel and the Hop-up unit. Yes I know, some other parts in the gun are shit and need replacement (air nozzle, shim and cylinder) but there are reports of this gun going trough 25000-30000 rounds stock and no problem, so why fix what's not broken? Im new to airsoft and I never opened a gun before and I don't want to fix these thing yet.

I saw a very nice prometheus 6.03 mm tight bore on ehobbyasia for 55$ USD. I heard Prometheus are the best regarding tight bore, but there is also this Madbull 6.03 tight bore for 35 $CAD on airsoftparts.ca. I heard they were pretty good also. I just want to know your advice on which one would be the best.

I don't know very much about hop-up. But I saw this Guarder 8$ hop up on airsoftparts.ca But a hop up only costing 8$ sound to be not high quality. There is the King Arms AK Hop-up at 20$ and the CNC Ak metal hop-up for 35$ on the same website.

I will also need a good battery and a good charger since those coming with the gun are BS. For the battery, I thought of a 8.4v 2500 mah or more battery. What are your personal preference? Will any aftermarket battery charger will do?

Edit : I learned the difference between a hop-up rubber and the complete assembly, and I only need to change the hop-up rubber. I saw there is multiple hop-up rubber hardness, varying from 50 degrees to 90 degrees. What hardness is the most adapted for a gun shooting 380 FPS with 0.2?

Thanks in advance ! :)

The Guarder at $8 is the hopup rubber only, and yes it's high quality.
The other ones are actual hopup assemblies.

As for a charger, get one with peak detection/digital detection/delta detection. (A smart charger)

Ah thank you for this answer. I tought it was a complete hop up unit. According Amos in this thread, I only need a hop-up rubber so think I will buy this guarder hop up rubber.

The hop-ups are usually not something that needs upgrading right away...I have the original and it is bang on accurate. Also I have seen a lot of posts here where people upgraded the hop-ups and regretted it.

If your shooting is fairly consistent then it is probaly fine. I HAVE heard of some krakens hop-up rubbers that are white, and they had some problems...but apparently the black ones do a lot better.

Shims and bushings, and maybe the sorbo piston pads offered on airsoftparts.ca would be a good first start, although the tight bore will help as well...and you already know about a better battery....happy upgrading! :)
