Airsoft Video Blog from Korea - airsoftlife.com

Hello all! I'm a fellow Canuck who plays airsoft in Korea. I take videos of games here from various angles (sniper scope cam, helmet cam, AEG cam) I've compiled a bunch of my videos into a blog. Take a look if you want to see how they play in Korea.

ps. The Chulwon video is a good example of airsoft here. 250 people in one huge game by the North Korean border. I little disconcerting playing beside the ROK forces, don't know which guns are real and which are airsoft.

I hope to be back in Canada in a few years to play there if the economy ever gets better :)

Cheers,
Chris

Hey

Hey Chris:

Just wondering. Are there any import restrictions on airsoft parts in Korea? I've been to some airsoft stores in Korea and I notice that the prices are sometimes MORE than the price of parts/AEGs in Canada where importation is not allowed. Like $800CDN for standard Marui AEGs, $100CDN for prometheus tight bore barrels at this one store I went to.

The AEGs that Academy makes are pretty reasonably priced though (like $200 CDN).

I thought that Korea's proximity to HK and Japan that parts would be cheap.

Pretty much anything imported into korea is taxed pretty heavily. And the Academy stuff is Korean made, so of course no import fees.

Taxes here can almost double the price... a basic JG G36c will run you 270CAD! I order most parts from Hong Kong but the exchange rate is pretty bad. You can import anything here that doesn't look like a gun and is under 150,000 won with no taxes.

Hey

Thanks for the reply.

Are there any good airsoft stores in Seoul that you would recommend visiting?

Thanks.
