MadBull shotshells for real shotguns

It has always been a matter of time before someone decided to strike the back of a gas 'nade with a real firing pin, or that pumping out empties that's worth at least $30 each on is a good idea.

Runs off CO2. Holds up to 5 BBs. Single BB shot using the shell and no barrel results in 800+ fps.

Unless MB also makes some sort of barrel insert for real shotguns, the shell itself provides all the barrel the BBs will get. Single bore, linear loading means the BBs probably won't ever touch any choke on the way out.

WOW !

It's a must see ! I'm really interested in futur developement and review of this product !

I coud use my RS to play airsoft. in the past i always saw a shotgun as a expensive peice to play and it wasn't not reliable enough without massive investment to feild thoses.

But now.

Albeit nice, this raises the issue of having asshats running on the field with real steel...

Nifty though!

EDIT: /facepalm

Since pointing a firearm at another person is an indictable offense under the Criminal Code with a maximum sentence of five years, I don't think you'll want to do that.

Pointing a firearm without lawful excuse.

A line. You just crossed it.....

However!!! If they made a special barrel that could not take real shells...... maybe.... just maybe....

Simunition has a shotgun shell.

Right. Still treading a fine line there though, not to mention the sheer magnitude of safety issues.

The Saint October 24th, 2008 11:37

Under the Canadian legal system, it's a line we're already treading, especially snipers. The line is not fixed either.

I'm not saying these shells would be a good idea in Canada, but the pointing of firearm thing is in my understanding less an issue than potential safety problems.

Lakonian October 24th, 2008 11:40

Fuck that. Keep your weapons on yer property, or on the range.

surebet October 24th, 2008 11:46

Simunition is used by mil and LE only in Canada in a professionnal context. This falls in the same category.

Nice pipe dream, but I can't see the good for the community to have people discharge real guns at one another.

We might see the difference (though I still refuse to be in the line of sight of a real gun for fun), but if you think soccer moms can bitch now, imagine just how they'd tear us a new one with this.

RacingManiac October 24th, 2008 11:54

and now fields have to police people not putting real shell into their RS gun instead of gas shell? Granted people should not "want" to do that in the first place, but thats why there are accidents....if people can get kill on the movie sets where there are proper, licensed armoror with supposedly dud gun in the first place, this just sounds like a bad idea waiting to happen...

Dracheous October 24th, 2008 11:56

HMMMmmmmmmm I like this idea. Though I would probably suggest deactivated chambers ((small cut in the chamber ceiling that would react in a failure should a real shotshell be used.)) I think such a mod to the shot gun would not affect the use of these rounds if the port was placed properly.

The REAL problem is that it has happened with fully trained personnel before where a life round " sneaked its way into a mag, resulting in the death of a fellow trainee. So while the chance may be unlikely, its still there. And the last thing we want is someone behind shot dead in a "non-lethal" sport.

I still may invest in a couple of these for personal non-airsoft game purposes.

Styrak October 24th, 2008 11:58

NOT a good idea.

Might be fun just for plinking around though.

aZn_triXta07 October 24th, 2008 12:00

I would so love to see someone use these in an AA12 Automatic shotguns :P

Doubtful it would successfully operate the action of that shotgun.
