FAMAS Trigger Rod Problems
 

Please note: Due to my crappy description people who have not taken apart a famas probably won't know what I'm talking about.

I don't really know what else to call it but a trigger rod. If you own a FAMAS and have taken it apart you'll probably know what I'm talking about. It's the rod that goes halfway from the trigger to the mechbox and joins, via a plastic bit, to another rod which continues on into the mechbox.
Now the first half of my trigger rod keeps popping out leaving me with no trigger action at all.
I have temporarily solved the problem with duct tape but would like a more permanent fix as taking this thing apart is a pain in the arse.
If you know what I'm talking about and have a solution I would really appreciate the help.
