Recommended Upgrades to My JG M4

Ok i have some extra cash right now and i want to buy some upgrades for my M4, already purchased a Prometheus air seal nozzle, as well as a Systema Airsoft AEG Ball Bearing Spring Guide V2. I have metal bushings and shims.

What are some other upgrades that are recommended to increase performance? O i forgot to mention i am purchasing a Mad Bull tight bore 6.03 363mm.

if it aint broke, dont fix it. Trust me

just the tightbore and nothing else, dont do internal upgrades if you've never done it or have no absolute confidence in it.

Err, last I checked, Madbull tightbores sucked, that's why I bought a Systema.

Must've been a while since you checked, then. Their verson 2 tightbores have reviewed very well.

I replaced the stock barrel of my aeg with a 6.04mm tightbore barrel from Madbull. I don't know where you heard Madbull sucked but I can tell you my bbs are landing quite accurately with it.

sell everything then buy a TM, then strip it down and spend a grand on new parts almost until you can build a new M4 out of your old parts. lol

Id start with a better body. The plastic on will do you ok until it starts to get cold.

MB KICKS ASS

Oh wow, that could have saved me a few bucks, I read that MB tightbores weren't very good so I bought a Systema; thanks for not flaming me on that one, haha.

MasterChiefLP August 10th, 2008 13:09

Yeah true, if it's not broke don't open it up, but i got a expert that helps me out with that stuff, he will put it all in for me while i watch so i can watch and learn to do it myself.

I'll third the madbull inner barrel. Put one in my pro-win gun originally just to have something to use till I could afford another, but I'm very happy with it.

I'd personally recommend Prometheus soft sleeve (purple) instead.

All i've done to mine is put in a MB tightbore, which is working just fine, must have got a good one. Other then that, haven't really done much to it other then cosmetic stuff (as seen in my sig below), oh, and removed the fuse, that was the only thing that caused me any grief. And to date it has seen at least 20,000 rounds, and out lasted my CA M15A4.

Muffin August 10th, 2008 18:29

Tightbores are a wise investment. I guess a better battery, if your still running the original it came with. I'd go with Intellect. Other then that if your looking for cosmetic stuff you get add on a silencer as well.
Or if you've got a fair bit to blow, FMU would be nice as well, all depends how far your wanting to take it.

Crunchmeister August 10th, 2008 18:37

I'd say to leave the internals until you've put some serious time on the gun and are going to open it up for maintenance / cleaning. For now, a tightbore and a battery would be your best bet.
