How usefull would a range finder be?

The last couple times I've been out in the field I've kinda wished I had a pair of binoculars. I've also wished I had better depth perception to determine range. How practical do you think a laser range finder would be for airsoft? I was thinking like a 4x magnification binocular (if such a thing exists).

Is there any weapon mounted scopes or sights with range finding capability available? That doesn't cost a fortune?

if this is within your price range http://www.binoculars.com/rangefinde...rosport450.cfm than it sound like it would be fine for airsoft.

As for weapon sights that don't cost a fortune, good luck; the monoculars are good enough. I have used several and plan on buying one some day.

That bushnell sport doesn't look too bad. Sure would be nice to have something weapon-mounted though. Is a 'range finding' reticle on a scope any good for airsoft? I like the idea of being able to see longer distances and see where my bbs are landing.

Considering airsoft is < 100m just learn to eye it.

Yeah I suppose. Although I'm pretty set on getting a scope with decent magnification for spotting and seeing the full path of my bbs.

You don't want a scope with too high a magnification. The flight path of the BB would actually go up and out of your FOV. I know quite a few seasoned snipers who actually set their hops so the bb's flight goes up and then comes back down to get extra range.
