AEG springs work with spring gun?

im wanting to lower a guns FPS by installing a different spring, but was wondering if an AEG spring would be any different than one from a spring gun. because my gun is a spring gun. thanks

If your gun is a springer from walmart, No, it wont work.

However, i've heard rumors that the Clearsoft FA-MAS takes AEG springs.

what is the real difference between AEG springs as spring springs?

and do you know a website that sells springer springs?

Strelok July 29th, 2008 20:26

There are all sorts of things bud, Lengths and tentions and diameter. Your springer will not last very long considoring they're all made out of plastic, springs are made to be put into AEGs and AEGs only.

There are Springer springs, but those are for sniper rifles. They're nothing you should ever considor putting into a spring weapon (If you could even manage)

I'm assuming you're below 18 years of age, no?

no, i am over 18 i just cannot get age verified..

and the gun i have IS a sniper rifle, so does that mean they would work?
if you have the website where to get them, that would be great as well.

So you cannot make it out to any games? What are you going to be doing with an upgraded sniper rifle springer then?

Matty1020 July 29th, 2008 20:38

i can make it to games but they are just in my community up in northern saskatchewan, and noone there CAN verify me. sucks up here, lol

and im not technically looking to UPgrade it, more DOWNgrade it. the FPS is too high.

dpvu July 29th, 2008 20:43

The verifier list here needs a little maintenance. Go to one of the local forums for Saskatchewan and ask about age verification there.

As for your spring problem, telling us what rifle it is would help.

its a VSR-10 Marui Clone but near the bottom of the page it says to google WELL MB03 for reviews.

and yes it is from buyairsoft.ca, dont laugh at me!

Drache July 29th, 2008 20:49

hey no one will laugh, those guns have proven themselves around here. Upgrading or downgrading a spring sniper though requires allot of work and usually partial drilling of the spring chamber or whatever its called to get it open.....

Matty1020 July 29th, 2008 20:55

well, i guess im gonna end up doing a bit of work then.
if anyone has had experience with changing springs in that gun, any help would be appreciated.

Drache July 29th, 2008 21:01

search the forums for upgrading VSR's, there's a step by step on how to do it somewhere in all this mess!

just out of curiosity, is your sniper rifle a pellet gun or bb gun. it sounds like your're trying to downgrade a pellet gun, in which case we dont deal with that here. just airsoft. good luck!!!:D

He's already said it was a WELL MB03 from buyairsoft.ca..... http://www.airsoftcanada.com/images/..._confused2.gif

Matty1020 July 29th, 2008 21:11

it is an airsoft gun, i dunno how you came to think it was a pellet gun...

if anyone knows where to buy springer springs, that would be really helpful because i can't find a site that sells them.

* i may not respond for a while, im going to go watch a movie. be back in an hour or two!
