Red dot scope

hey, Any of you remember my buyairsoft.ca scope prolem? Well, It came yesterday. But there is another problem. When I mount it, I make sure that it is firm and wont move. But when I look through to aim the red cross (dot) is to low. I have tried changing the windage and elevation but I cant crank it any further.

If you need more info then just ask.

Isnt it one?

No, cantilever is raised about an inch higher than that, allows you to co-witness your front and rear sights with the reticle (sometimes).

Try getting something like this:

I know Illusion has some in-stock at $35 IIRC. What it will do is allow you to raise the RDS high enough that the dot sees beyond the front sight, and at the same time enable you to be able to remove the sight with out needing any tools.

Yes but is there any way for me to get this right withough spending money?

Styrak April 29th, 2008 17:37

Don't think so.

mike909 April 29th, 2008 18:00

DAMN IT! I waited forever for this thing.

mike909 April 29th, 2008 18:13

What about any custom changes that could affect it?

Block of wood and a Dremel? Remove front sight completely? Lots of options for free.

If I removed the front sight I cant really aim. Unless I look nice and straight

FOX_111 April 29th, 2008 19:57

Even if you managed to raise the dot via the ajustement knob, it would not be usefull as the point of aim would not necessarely be in relation with your point of impact.

But you have an RDS, that's all you need. You DON'T have to use the rRDS in conjunction with the sights, you can use the RDS all by itself.

mike909 April 30th, 2008 17:07

uhh well I feel like an idiot now... :D Its my first RDS so....

CDN_Stalker April 30th, 2008 18:16

Seriously, you dial in the red dot to the target vs, where the BBs are hitting. After that you only need to put the red dot on what you want to hit and the BBs go there. So you can remove both your front and rear sights, just use the RDS by itself (remember to remove the dust covers on the elevation/windage adjustments to get to the screw underneath, common noob mistake to turn the dustcovers when zeroing and finding no change) and you are good to go.

BTW, don't zero at anything less than 25ft, you will not be able to do it right. Zeroing above that will clear you past 100ft easy depending on BB weight (0.20g sucks ass for outside).
