Yukon Night Vision

Does anyone know if there is a Canadian site that sell's night vision. I've been looking for the Yukon NVRS Mini Varmint 1.5x42 Night Vision Rifle Scope.

Thanks

I saw Kremlinoptics but for some reason did not think they were a Canadian site.

Thanks

Buy it off ebay, you can import gen1+ scopes no issues, and in doing so you'll save yourself hundred of dollars.
I bought my NVD for 240 on ebay, in Canada it retails closer to 400$ if not more.

I tried but the site sent an email after I purchased the scope telling me that they could not send this over the border. They will credit my paypal but I'm out the scope. I found a site from the US that also sold the Yukon night vision and they sent me an email telling me that I have to fill out a form. The form goes to Yukon who fill in the rest of the information and then a permit is obtained. Yes, the Canadian sites have very high prices but it seems very hard to even get GEN1.

I went to the Kremlin Optics site and they seem to be in Canada but the scopes are sent from Russia with the shipping fee alone $80.00.

I'll just keep looking

Can you remeber which Ebay store you purchased the night vision from?

Just make sure that the "Ships To" column in the search is shown as either "Worldwide" or "Canada." Those auctions are good to go.

The restriction applies to all generations, but you can find retailers that will send it.

They are taking a fucking big risk, as it doesn't matter what GEN it is, it's still a Federal matter, and includes allot of jail time.

Anything I can find here is either total shit, or $1000. The GEN2+ and GEN 3 you are getting for that $1000 up here, however, is actually really good gear.

Newcon is based out of Toronto (404 and Steels) and is where I have been buying my NV for a few years. They are an Eastern Block house running new Russian designs. Their DN series are GEN 2+ and 3, modular, flexible, and reasonable for what you are getting.

Im pretty clueless about laws concerning night visions, could you...explain them a bit?

Got my scope here: http://www.nvoptics.com/
They often have deals in the clearance section, which is where I picked mine up a few years back. Gen 3 for $1800 shipped was a good deal.

In Canada ther are no restrictions as to what you can own. In the US, the laws as to what you can own vary from state to state, but what fundamentally impacts us are the export restrictions that have come into place since 9/11.

There are tons of things that now need special export permits to be taken out of the US, and some things are just not allowed out anymore.

For example:

The CBSA says it's fine to bring in up to 5000 rounds of ammunition from the US without anything more than paying the duty and having a PAL. The US will throw you in federal prison for trying to exit the country for even one round of anything. So while Canada says GTG, you need to apply for an export permit to get ammo out of the states. Depending on caliber, it's worth it (I'm going through the paperwork now, takes about 18 months supposedly)

It's not Canadian law that's the problem when it comes to NV, it the US.

Found a Canadian based company sell night vision scopes

BrandonOptics
located in Delta, BC, Canada

They carry many night vision selections, include brands of Sightmark, EOTech, Pulsar Eage, Yukon, Firefield, etc. No forms required, delivered in 5-10 days

Importing into Canada is usually a breeze, I'm not aware of any sort of restrictions on gen1, heard a few rumors about gen2 but never saw anything in writing, and I was told a permit was "technically" required for gen3, again haven't seen any legislation on it

Gen3 and lots of gen2 NVD's are ITAR restricted though which means no exporting..... kind of ironic that crazy ass rednecks with silenced, high powered, C-mag fed assault weapons can have gen3 and us with our 5 round mag limits can't...
