KSC G19 and 23 compatability

Since the KSC G19 and G23 share the same lowers (frame, hammer assembly) are the Uppers(slide, blowback mechanism, barrel) compatible? I was looking into buying a FA glock but I'm not willing to shell the $300 for one. Since the G19 and G23 frames are possibly identical, I was thinking of buying parts to build a G23 upper and just swapping the G19 slide when I want to use it... Any info would be appreciated.

I am not entirely sure on this, but doesn't the hammer/trigger assembly for the fullauto mechanism for KSC stuff is different from that of the semi guns?

You want a reliable auto glock? get a tm and mod it. You will lose the ability to fire in semi but, who the hell cares about semi?

im not 100% on the lower frame thing, but i think they're different.

G19's and G23's are both semi-auto only. So I'm not sure what you're trying to do here. In airsoft, they're the exact same since they only differ in caliber in real steel.

KSC 23 F is full auto. unlike the real one. also with them the frames are the same the hammer assembly use different parts.

Totally different in the slide/blowback assembly, and also in the hammer assembly. Am sure you *could* buy all parts needed, but chances are it'd end up costing you about the same as just buying a G23.

BTW, once upon a time I worked on a G19, I think it was Renegade's that he bought for dirt cheap, some previous owner had cut the 'lump' off the top of the rear trigger bar (the one the slide presses down to latch the hammer back between shots). Because the lump was gone, the gun fired in full auto.......... for half dozen shots or so. Maybe buy another trigger bar and try that mod? Might be the cheapest way to get a full auto only Glock.

Did his Glock normally STOP shooting?

He had problems enough with it that he sent it to me to fix, new trigger bar later................

Not that I'm recommending his trying that approach, but I like making people open up their Glocks to work on..................... wait a minute, I just realized........... oh no, they send them to me to fix!!!! (Received a G18C last week and a G23 today to fix, watch for my new thread!)

Yep, that was mine, those crazy ASC armoury guys haha, it would fire a random amount at full auto, then either lock up, blow all the gas out, or stop firing all togehter. Was really neat, but not consistent at all.

hmm, iv often wondered if i could just stick a g19 slide on my 23 and see if that works, but i guess its a moot point because its too small for my hands and id rather prefer the 17. too bad it doesnt come in HW

CDN_Stalker February 21st, 2008 18:31

Neat thing I should mention that I found out when working on the G18, is that with the metal slide on it, fully ready to fire (without mag of course) the entire gun weighs very close to the same as the frame (with internals) as my KSC G19. Go figure, eh?

Anyone know where to get the exploded diagrams for the KSC G23? Just wanna double triple check before I put the idea to rest...

Diagram for the G18 is the same as the one for the G23, in case you can only find the G18 one.
