Are there any starter leagues/games?

Having recently bought an Airsoft gun (shotgun, 325 FPS. It sucks, i know) and having yet to use it, i thought i'd atleast try the internet for some advice and tips. I've tried talking to some people i know who have Airsoft guns, but they don't really have any intrest in play a beginner like me with a crappy "clearsoft" gun from Canadian Tire. I live in Burlington, ON. I've also talked to people at the S.O.F.P. stores and they've both said that i should probably wait 'ill i'm 18 (alas, that is 5 years too long i don't want to wait) to try and play on a real field. Anything helpful or useful i should know? Some info on starter groups would also be appreciated.

13 is a non-starter issue. Some places will allow 16 year olds, but 13 is no good.

Sorry.

Sorry, age is a very important variable when it comes to airsoft. There is no way around it. Like Surebet said, there are some fields that may allow you to play at the age of 16, but aside from that you are out of options.

Yup. 13 = no play. Start saving up now so you can buy an awsome kit when you're 18.

And hey, if you turn 16, and you're not into airsoft anymore, you'll have a budget saved for a car.

It's a win win.

He's right.

Save up. Perhaps look into paintball for the time being? Who knows, you might like that better..

No, don't jump to conclusions when you don't know how he got his or how I got mine.

A) Don't be a smartass hitman

B) As a host, I would say 16 is still not likely, and a great majority of the other hosts will agree. Read, learn and pay attention. keep your posts to the minimum. Research before posing a question. At 16 offer to help out at games (You'll probably get a NO, but the offer to help will be remembered). Don't get indignate or rude to the adults when they tell you to do other things with your time, it'll piss them off and make it less likely to help you when you are older or even when you are asking intelligent questions..remember more than a few of us have kids your age.
and finally make sure your parents know about you interest.

It doesn't matter how you or he got his, you are both under 18, so in the end you both should not have them

+1 Best advice for those under 18 that want to get into airsoft.

I still got them with my parents permission didnt I? I am still allowed to own it, use under parental or under a legal guardian.

The only thing I SHOULD NOT have it is when they aren't there, or CANNOT enter in games when I am not 18.

Also, I can still get in a game if my parent is participating in a game WITH me or a legal guardian depending on the host.

As for I just researched before, and learned the rules.
Thank you.
