SR-16 front wired?

Title says it all, I know you can mod a M4-A1 to be rear wired... just wanted to make sure the opposite is true for the SR-16's type B receiver.

Yah yah, I know, why would you want the battery up front... well I got a nice magpul CRT stock; thats why:)
