Man I dont remember Layton being that much dirt. Lol then again its in the flats.

LOL - we were about 2 hours away from Layton in that area. It is known to us as Hitlers Bunker and is an abandoned mine of some sort in the hills south of west mountain west of Utah lake.

Being in Utah over 1/2 our fields are desert warfare type places.

How hot was it that day? The flecktarn must be unbearable when summer really starts to kick in

it was about 100 deg F.

Actually - it wasnt too bad. I pre-hydrated the night before and drank a lot during the day. A lot of people make the mistake of uncovering in the summer heat, that makes it worse. If you protect your skin from the sun it keeps you cooler.
