Thats kinda preference as I have one of each(M4's thow) and they have good and bad points for each! Best to check the review section and FAQ's and other web-pages for that info.

Personally, I like the fact that the bolt cover actually pulls back on the Classic Army... But...

I actually prefer the ICS because of how easy it is to disassemble.

Yes, but that "ease" of dissassemble also permits the possibility for that upper reciever to move about and that can cause problems too.
Its going to be all give and take between the two. CA, bad pistons, ICS - alignment issues. Reveiw section is your best location for info!

i own an ics m16-a3 and after 8 months of play i have had zero issues with it. the all metal design although a tank after start adding accessories has proved to be serious workhorse. the weapon has seen some serious abuse at times. been core sampled twice,,which is why i dont loan it out anymore. in dead run on the ferryboat the d ring broke sending my $840.00 dollar weapon cartwheeling down a steel cardeck and sliding to a stop like it was "shoeless joe" with only minor scrathes. in my honest opinion i believe the ics to be a extremely reliable platform and worth the investment. here is a full size pic of " mustang sally" .

thats the area that got scratched up when the d ring broke,,it has since been cleaned up and repainted.

Mr.Planters March 13th, 2007 16:56

well, i would recomend you go with the CA, it is more solid, heavier and the bolt actully moves woooooooooo

ThunderCactus March 13th, 2007 17:01

im dont know if they've improved their quality recently, but ive heard nothing but bad things from ICS
Incredibly Crappy Stocks
In Constant Repair
Is Consistently Shitty

my brother got a stock from them just a few weeks ago and its pretty bad.
but read the reviews and figure out for yourself.
personally i prefer CA for guns over all other companies.

i got 2 friends of mine one with a CA M15A4 carbine and the other with a ICS M4 .

the CA as not givin him any problems only a few miss feeds cause of a low battery voltage and the ICS well the internals were totally replaced.

ThunderCactus March 13th, 2007 19:29

what kind of battery does he have? because i havent heard of any voltage related misfeeds. Although theres ALOT than can cause misfeeds i hear its most often the tappet plate. My friends and I all bought G36's and they all had misfeeding problems on semi auto, and so have a few CA M4s ive seen, but my friends brand new SPR feeds just fine.

I'v run my ICS M4A1 stock for a year (with no prob's)then in an upgraded state for almost two years(ICS MA-56 upper gear box set,M120 spring systema gears,Chron'd @397fps and was 360 stock)I'v had miner issues with my G&P M4SO and M249 and my Classic Army M15A4 CQB right out of the box and not with my ICS.My buddy has been running a ICS AK-74 for awhile with no issues. It seems to me they are all good units, but difference is in the way people maintain them or lack of and then blame the unit for it.It's like asking whats better Dodge or Ford? it's more of a pref.

aZn_triXta07 March 13th, 2007 20:07

If you're looking at an MP5, ICS has a good price for it. But the CA has that new hop up design which is more realistic. If you get age-verified arman there's someone here who can get you one for about the same price as what BuyAirsoft is selling their ICS's at. But if you're impatient go for the ICS lmao
