PTW inner barrel (question)
 

I'm still doing my research of SYSTEMAS PTW and i could not find a clear answer for some questions, i would be grateful if anyone can help.
What are the PTW stock barrel inner diameter ?
What are the options for SYSTEMAS PTW tight barrel ?.
Can a SYSTEMA 6.04 like this fit a PTW (Z0930 NEW BS BARREL XM/M4A1/SG551 )?thanks in advance.

If I remember correctly, the SystemA PTW comes stock with a 6.04 or 6.03 tightbore already.

The PTW inner barrels are supposedly 6.10 mm. They are not compatible with any other brands. If you want a PTW tightbore, you need to contact Systema. They recommend that you purchase a second hop-up chamber as well, so that you don't need to keep swapping it between barrels. The outer diameter of the PTW barrel is significantly larger than other AEG barrels, and the machining is totally different.

You're MAX inner barrels are now all 6.04mm. PDI is rumoured to be making inner barrels for the PTW, but nothing I've heard yet says any specific details over bore. PDI does currently make 6.01 barrels for AEGs, so there's a little hope that they'll make them for the PTW.

I am following your advice and I am gathering my supplies to get a few custom upper receiver done with my M4 lower receiver.


you were right on not purchasing another PTW, the only reason was because sometime it might be nice to have a full stock look, but for now I prefer that crane look and invest into uppers for the time being....now I am doing some googleling for what to get for purchasing complete upper receiver systems and just swap to the upper configuration that you like at any time....

So to what I understand in regards to inner barrel/hop set is to get it from Systema? Since PDI is not compatible with PTW as of yet?....Thanks Mike

On systema's site they sell custom inner barrels for PTW's.
