CIRAS Plates, such a thing?
 

Hello All,

I was wondering if there is any such thing as replica plates for a CIRAS, if so where can I get some? I did a search but did not find anything helpful. Looking to insert a plate in the back of my Phantom CIRAS to give a little more support for all the gear it is holding.

Mine came with these hard 1/4" thick foam plates, I took them out as they where firm enough to make the vest not form around my comfortably. But I do believe that 204 tactical has plates for vests, you can find them under the canadian retailer bar at the top of the page.

I have the ones from 204 Tactical in my CIRAS. Remember to treat ordering like real plates. Medium plates for medium vest, large plates for large vest. They make the CIRAS fit totally different and much better in my opinion.

That brand of plates are complete garbage - made of thin walled hollow plastic, they shatter extremely easily.

I don't know about the replica CIRAS but the real Eagle CIRAS is sized according to the SPEAR BALCS soft armor and not according to SAPI/BALCS plates. A large SAPI plate will fit a small CIRAS or XL plates will fit a medium.

I just got a set of the fake medium SAPI plates for my real CIRAS land (small) if the medium plates are true to the real counterparts they fit in fairly snug.

x-small = 7.25"x11.5"
small = 8.75"x11.75"
medium = 9.5"x12.5"
large = 10.12"x13.25"
x-large = 11"x14"
