Insane ROF with turbo and li-poly

Hi i have just purchased the following items for my TM SR-16: (warning long list)
-Systema turbo motor
-11.1v 1500 mAh li-poly
-gaurder polycarbonate piston(i will file down the teeth)
-Prometheus gear set(shims included)
-reinforced spring guide
-gaurder polycarbonate pistonhead
-6mm metal bushings by systema
-Systema polycarbonate tappet plate
-deans connectors

-im thinking about getting a mosfet but it seems very difficult to install.

That basically everything i'm planning on putting into my gun. Tell me your predictions on how well the gun will hold up and how high the ROF should be. my friend said with the turbo motor over 40 rps easy, What do you think?

all comments are appreciated.

You should buy a charger specifically made for that li-po pack, unless you really don't care about having your house burnt to the ground

ROF_Madman December 11th, 2006 21:58

i already bought one with a light to tell me when it is done

Red Ghost December 11th, 2006 21:59

40 rounds/second.. which by my math equals 2400 rounds a minute. my only question is why?

And in all honesty, I predict the gun tearing itself apart.

hymnforthewretched December 11th, 2006 22:00

do yourself a favor an rid the li-poly off your list. if your getting a turbo you shouldnt be running a powerful spring which means a 9.6V nicad or nimh will do just fine, and still get plenty enuff ROF with that. if you go too fast your going to run in to problems

Kos-Mos December 11th, 2006 22:03

In fact you should just stick to 7.4v if you want li-po....your ROF will still be over any 9.6v pack....11.1v in a gun is like pouring 70% nitro fuel in your gaz tank.....might get a bit explosive, and not work for long

so your saying it will either be a complete disaster or it will work for only a little bit.

Either way, why bother. What good is ROF at 300 fps when you can have 15 rnds/sec. at 400 fps. The extra 10-15 roounds will do you little to no good in the bush. CQB, maybe. Bush, no.

That and you'll spend countless hours and dollars trying to reach 40 rnds./sec., never acheiving it for longer than a mag or 2.

They do this sort of thing in Asia, but you need to spend big $$$ on parts and a credible tuner to get it to that point.

What spring do you plan to use, anyway?

Getting a reinforced gearbox with 7mm bearing bushings may help too.

Sorry, not familiar with Guarder pistons. How many teeth? Here's my setup (sorry, long list too):-

1) SystemA Cylinder head
2) SystemA nozzle
3) Prometheus D-type Cylinder
4) Angel 300mm spring (1.5 loop cut)
5) SystemA Spring Guide
6) Guarder tappet plate
7) SystemA High Speed Piston (filed off first 2 teeth)
8) SystemA Duracon Piston Head
9) SystemA All Helical High Speed gears (Sector gear filed off 2 teeth)
10) Prometheus Reverse latch lock
11) SystemA Turbo Motor
12) Using LiPo 11.1V/2150mAh battery

Need to clock but think I was getting about 34BB/sec at 0.98J.

You have such a nice list of parts..... and then you have the cheapy budget Guarder Polycarbonate piston head that's been known to have some issues. Why?

ROF_Madman December 11th, 2006 22:49
