Need Advice On Gears Please

So I was playing in a game this past Saturday and all of the sudden my gun completely froze up. It locked up so bad I thought that there was absolutely no current running into the gun so naturaly I thought one of the wires on the motor came undone. So I opened the motor compartment and checked but the wires were fine. I closed it back up and the gun worked again... for another few rounds that is. And then it did it again, so I did the same thing a couple more times but it kept doing it so I stopped messing with it.

When I got home I took the gun apart to find that the last tooth on the sector gear was extremely worn down. It was polished, rounded and the edges were a little rough. (I'm still using the stock TM gears, I thought they would last longer then they did)

I am now looking at buying new gears. Which ones should I get? My main concern is price and durability, I want bang for my buck. Any suggestions? Are Guarder Original Type Steel Gear Set for Ver. 2/3 Gearbox any good? What do all the different types of gears do anyways? It seems like there are sooooo many different ones.

Also, just out of curiosity, why would a worn out sector gear cause my gun to lock up like that? Havent been able to figure that one out.

I've never EVER had problems with Systema gears in 4 of my guns, but I'm always willing to pay extra for guaranteed quality. All you need is Systema Flat Standard gears:

If you're pushing a strong spring and don't mind a trade-off in losing a little ROF for more shots per battery, go with Systema Torque-up gears.

The first batch of Guarder gears had a problem with the sector gear IIRC; I can't say for sure they've fixed it. MadMax knows more about this than I.
