in the movie alone in the dark. there is a sceen where he has a m4 with an elcan scope on it there is somthing infront of the scope, i cant tell if it is a peq or what it is. dose anyone know.

With some insane muzzle flash. It'll burn your eyes out.

Ok, I dont know sh*t about real steel but the fire comming out of her pistol seems kind of big. She shooting rockets with that?

the muzzle flash is from the blanks she is using, depending on what director specified (short or long flash or loud/extra loud) the size is dependant on that. also for safety reasons it could be an electric gun with the flash photoshoped in (i have done this before) and the editor made it a tad too big, as for real steel guns, they don't show a muzzle flash nearly as much as in movies.

Gun blanks have extremely large muzzle flashes. And as some idiot actor once found, they can blast your skull to bits. A 9mm Browning HiPower I once owned produced 2.5 foot long flash with military blank ammo.

That would be John Erik Hexum, Brandon Lee also died from a similar accident.
