CYMA is pretty much crap compared to the "standard" airsoft brands like TM, CA, ICS, G&G and G&P.

^Hyperion^ June 19th, 2006 16:48

CYMA always been crap. The new CYMA MP5-J seems pretty good , though.
If you're really low on budget , give it a try or not...just saw you were only 14

wait til you get a job and the legal age and buy yourself a real good AEG.

from now , start reading about airsoft

What IS IT with folks asking about how good hyper crappy $50 guns are lately? Look at all the posts about that shit?

^Hyperion^ June 19th, 2006 18:11

I totally understand your frustration , Grey. I noticed all the frigging posts about crappy guns lately..it's unbelievable

But most importantly: read.

Greylocks June 19th, 2006 19:59

How? Here's how. Let's assume you learned to count in school. Then let's assume some more that you understand the concept of quality versus quantity.
One gun is $50, the other $500. The $50 gun claims a quality level comparable to the $500 gun.
What do you think? Who is right here?

Greylocks June 20th, 2006 21:16

I told you how to know; do the math before asking.
If I told you I had a tuned race car for sale, and it's only $500, would you buy it or would common-sense kick in first?
All you need to do is compare prices for real quality guns (sold by our Canadian Retailers) versus the $50 gun, and think.

Take your time, you have 4 years to read a lot or go see a game with your parents. At a game, you'll see exactly what kind of guns are used, and how much they cost.

True dat.

However, I think this guy's problem isn't the fact that he's comparing a $50 gun to a $500 gun, it's the fact that he doesn't know the difference between a springer and an AEG.

Paying $50 for a brand new springer... you're getting exactly what you paid for. It might be a top-of-the-line springer... but it's still a springer. Don't expect it to perform like a top-of-the-line AEG.

Greylocks June 20th, 2006 21:35

$50 does not even buy you a decent springer. If that's all you can afford, at least buy ones made by Marui.
Cyma? You may as well buy the clear guns from Canadian Tire.

Stop looking at crappy guns. This is an expensive game.

yanhchan June 20th, 2006 21:41

Hey guys lets stop attacking him now, he apologized, didn't argue.

BTW Looks like the "Stop asking about crappy guns" post didn't work too well....

my friend i think it is because the market is getting flooded with em...noticed huge numbers online..everyone and their dog is selling them.

btw...my dog turned one down

Greylocks June 20th, 2006 21:45

Of course it did not. Nobody reads anything before asking. I'm surprised it took that long to see more of these posts.

Vladthecossack June 20th, 2006 22:31

My heavens! I can't belive this thread is still alive.
