----Question for snipers----

Do you have a Ghillie Suit, if yes is it Woodland ? How did you pay for it ? Where did you buy it ? What is the best camo of all ? So many questions, hope you can help me. I found one at 80 $ UDS Woodland, it comes with a rap for your weapon, and pants and top of course and the head thing. Is it a good deal ?

FOX_111 March 15th, 2006 12:25

Yes I have one.
Like most people who have one, I built it myself.

I suggest you search a little here, you will find good tips on building one. Much better than those Bushrag one.

Well, along with being in the wrong Area (should prooobally be in gear discussion, not gun) this question has been posed fairly often, and I remember one hapening about a month ago (if not less.)

So my friend, make use of the mystical search button!

Just go to a game, get all your questions answered at once, and see what folks use.

Or read a lot.

SKI March 16th, 2006 11:32

Yes. Made it myself. Cost me about $50 Can.

Make me wanna get/make one when my M700 comes. BTW, how do you guys stand using that in those super hot summer days? I'm dying in just the regular BDUs.

SockMonkey March 21st, 2006 02:12

the l33t ones have mini air conditioners built in that run off sweat and frags.

wey ferro March 21st, 2006 02:50

i actually dont find my ghillies that hot.
you can also buy ultra light ones, i doubt you'd get very hot in them

silent_lemon March 21st, 2006 04:12

I cant remember the name correctly, but my first year in airsoft i bought a g3a3 from a guy, "hoot" "hoop", something like that, he's around on here at times, not so much anymore, but he knows A LOT about ghille suits, if you wanted a person to talk to, id go to him.

there are lots of reviews out there about them, and how to make them. heck, i still have lots of dyed burlap piled up in the laundry room from 4 years ago..lmao

Ibby March 22nd, 2006 18:32

I don't have a ghillie suit, when I snipe I just use this really cool ring of invisibility I found. But every time I wear it these freaky dudes on horses chase me.

Keyboard March 22nd, 2006 19:25

Does anybody have a site where it explains how to make a ghillie suit? I had one, but can't seem to find it in my favourites list.

EDIT: Found it, http://www.geocities.com/stalker217/ghillie/

Keyboard March 22nd, 2006 19:37

Um, nevermind, the farthest that site get's is the material's needed then the pages after that do not work.

EDIT: Now that site does work, weird, yesterday it wasn't working.

Keyboard March 22nd, 2006 19:39

http://www.ghilliesuits.com/build%20_own.htm

There we go, for anybody interested that site seems pretty good.

SCG48 March 25th, 2006 18:25

A ghillie suit is best made by your own hand and matching the terrain/vegetation you are playing in. My advice is make your own ghillie suit, do not purchase a pre made one.

TMSteyrAug April 10th, 2006 22:12

Wheeler's CPGear just got them.

1. Hat/ rifle ghillie kit = $14.00
2. Woodland full ghillie suit = $99.00

They also carry CadPat/ Olive scrim kits for a good price...
